10% soiling on a 6.6kW home system is frustrating. On a 200kW commercial system it's a serious operational cost compounding every week. Flat and low-pitch industrial roofs let dust settle rather than washing off, and large rooftops in agricultural, food processing and coastal environments attract specific soiling that rain doesn't address.

Recommended frequency by sector

  • Office, retail, shopping centre - once/year coastal, twice/year inland or dry climates.
  • Manufacturing and industrial - twice/year minimum, quarterly for high-particulate environments.
  • Agribusiness and food processing - before and after main production seasons; minimum twice/year.
  • Cold storage and logistics - twice/year, quarterly near unsealed roads or dusty environments.
  • Medical and aged care - once/year urban, twice/year coastal or dusty.
  • Coastal sites (all sectors) - twice/year minimum regardless of sector.
